Currently no handpump beers being served. Records of licensees date back to 1851 with this pub, which has previously belonged to Glovers and Sons, Bennetts of Dunstable, Mann and then Watney's. Most recently, the pub was run by Farr Brew, which subsequently went into liquidation in April 2026. It is believed new, permanent operators are currently being sort. The pub has wooden floors and fireplaces at each end adding to a snug atmosphere.
