This is a JD Wetherspoon pub on the High Street, named in honour of William Penn, who dispatched colonists from Rickmansworth and Chorleywood to start settlements in the state that bears his name. Despite owning Pennsylvania, William Penn didnt spend too much time there and died in England. Hes buried in Chalfont St. Giles.
